Scott Lewis is one of the the lead vocalists and plays rhythm guitar in The Blue Beats Duo and Band.
Scott was singing before he could walk, and later joined his school choir at the age of nine. This training was invaluable in developing his vocal range. His later discovery of The Beatles and other great music from the Sixties set off his desire to play in a band.
Scott first picked up a guitar at the age of seventeen and was tutored by his new college friend, Simon Gaynor, who later asked him to join his band.
"I have an ear for harmony," says Scott, "so acts like The Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel and The Eagles really appeal to me. I usually have one of their albums on in my car when I'm driving along. Other road users probably think I'm a bit of a nutter when they see me shooting along, singing at the top of my voice."
"My first love is guitar-based music - not too heavy, though - so when Oasis came along as part of the Britpop scene in the early to mid-90s, I couldn't resist them.
